Our home is on Kawana Island, an upscale canal development on the Sunshine Coast, close to Mooloolaba and about one hour north of Brisbane. It is a quiet and safe family area, with a network of walking and cycling paths, and easy access to motorways and beaches.
Across the street is a small park with childrens playground and large open grass area for football or play. Three bicycles are provided. (Car also - see below). A few minutes walk from our house are restaurants (fine dining and cafe style), and a few minutes drive away are the many restaurants on the beachfront at Mooloolaba, one of Australia's favorite tourist destinations.
In 30 minutes you can drive to Noosa, or to Steve Irwin Australia Zoo, or to Montville and Maleny villages in the mountains.
We can include our car in the exchange, by arrangement.
20 minutes away is Sunshine Coast airport (MCY) from which there are regular and discount flights to/from Sydney and Melbourne with Virgin and Jetstar. Brisbane (BNE) airport is just over one hour away. Door-to-door shuttle services operate from and to both airports.

Bonnie and Graham are aged 60 & 62, and have done 14+ home exchanges in the past, all very enjoyable and without incident. We are retired from positions as a college teacher (Bonnie) and as a government manager (Graham) and like to travel overseas every year to experience as much as we can of the world.
At home, Bonnie collects vintage and antique china, and Graham enjoys riding his motorbike. When travelling, we enjoy sightseeing, walking, sampling the local food, wine and beer, and going to markets.
We plan to visit South America between August and November 2014, and would like to arrange stays of between one week and one month in a few different places. We are open to offers for exact location.
We can include our car in the exchange by arrangement.
We can do a non-simultaneous exchange if the dates of your trip to Australia are different. (We have other places we can stay while you are here).
We are flexible - what offers???
We are also interested in exchanges in Australia, New Zealand, or Pacific Islands at any time, and Vietnam for a few weeks during 2014. We could be tempted by offers in other places, so contact us with an offer. Bonnie and Graham are aged 60 & 62, and have done 14+ home exchanges in the past, all very enjoyable and without incident.
