Description of our house

![]() ]
This is a lovely home designed for the tropics and suits indoor/outdoor living. It is on absolute beach front with a huge expanse of safe beach only a few metres from the door. Upstairs there is a large balcony overlooking the sea with the master bedroom having sliding doors towards the sea. There is a bathroom and WC next to the bedroom. The lounge/dining area is open plan and can be fully opened to the balcony. There is a beautiful designer kitchen with stainless steel appliances. On the enclosed veranda/fernery off the kitchen is a BBQ and extra fridge and freezer. Downstairs are two more double bedrooms and a study, all opening to the sea aspect, a bathroom and seperate WC and a ultilities room and garage. In a private tropical garden on the street side of the house is a lovely inground swimming pool, outdoor furniture and a second gas BBQ. We enjoy many social occasions on the balcony looking out to sea or in the tropical pool garden. We are very proud of our home and would take care of your home as carefully as we do our own.

We are situated approximately four miles from the seaside town of Yeppoon, with is a 25 minute drive to the nearest city, Rockhampton, which has a major domestic airport. This area is right on the Tropic of Capricorn and has a superb tropical climate. Temperatures from June to September typically range from over night lows of 12-14C to daily maximums or 23-26C. This is also dry season. We use the beach all year round. We have an excellent neighbourhood with a small village feel and many friends who always make visitors to our home most welcome. Our area is a gateway to the Great Barrier Reef to the East and the Outback to the West, including gem fields for fossicking. We are happy to include our car, a Honda Accord Sedan and our 4WD Diesel single cab 1 ton truck in the exchange to allow you to have maximum access to the vast expanse of central Queensland. ![]() Something about ourselves

We are Graham and Marg, a happy couple in their fifties. We have both recently retired, Graham as an engineer and Marg as a Head Teacher. In 2010 and 2011 we travelled in Europe and the UK and had several very successful exchanges in England, France, Italy, Germany and Belgium. In 2013 we would like to return to the UK and Europe for a series of exchanges between early June and the end of September. We have a London exchange form late July until late August. We are open too offers from around Australia any year between March and November. ![]()
