These photos were taken in winter; the Gold Coast is very green and lush in summer. Our house is a lovely 3 bedroom home with an additional large playroom/studio. It is a charismatic 50 year old renovated house and only 2 blocks (10 minute walk) to gorgeous Palm Beach if you want surf, or Currumbin Estuary if you prefer calm waters or fishing. The 8m x 6m undercover back deck is the focal point of our living. The house has very efficient air-conditioning in the main bedroom and lounge which cools down the whole house on hot summer days & there are ceiling fans in every room. Timber floors throughout.

A family friendly, beachside suburb. Laguna Park Playground is a 2 minute walk away; this is also a great spot for lake fishing. Beautiful beaches are abound. Currumbin Wildlife Park which is home to plenty of kangaroos & koalas is a 20 min walk or 5 min drive. The local shops, including doctor & chemist are a 3 min walk. The weather is warm all year round and the summers are guaranteed to be hot. An Olympic sized 50 metre public swimming pool & gym are a 5 minute walk away if you wish to swim laps or do exercise classes. Something about ourselves

We are well travelled and have done two successful house/car-swaps: six weeks in 2010 in Holland and three weeks in 2011 in England. We're in our 40's: I am an aircraft engineer and pilot who is self employed. My wife loves to dabble with art & works part-time as a teacher's aide. We have a well behaved school-aged child who is also well travelled and respectful. We have many friends and family living in Europe and England and are always keen to catch up with them. We can be flexible with dates but are most definitely keen to be away every year from early December until late January but can most definitely be tempted at any time of the year. WE LOVE SNOW SKIING!!!
