The home is situated 5 km off the national coastal hiway, 20 mins. from Townsville airport, 25 mins. CBD & 4 hours from Cairns Interational. Ten mins. to beaches, 15 mins. to major supermarket. Townsville is the capital of Nth. Queensland with all the facilities of a major provincial city & around 300 sunshine days per year. It is adjacent to the world heritage Great Barrier Reef. A short ferry ride to tropical Magnetic Island with its colony of Koala bears. Four hours south lies the Whitsunday Islands, crystal clear waters, a sailers paradise. Two hours west is the historic active gold mining town of Charters Towers, at one time the largest gold producer in Australia. Behind Cairns lies the Atherton Tablelands, a rich tropical volcanic plateau with numerous natural attractions & a climate all of its own due to its altitude.

My name is Ken & my wifes name is Moira. We are in our late 50's & both retired. My career has been largely in the engineering field & Moiras was in community support.
