A beautiful open planned home, fully airconditioned, with views to the Coral sea, and the city of Cairns. It has a front balcony, with fabulous views, and a back balcony, where you can have a barbecue, and dine, while listening to the sounds of the rainforest at night. It is very close to the city, approx, 15 minutes driving, to fine restaurants, and tours to the Outer Barrier Reef. The house is set on 3 levels with the master bedroom having it's own balcony, where you can sit and watch the sun set over the city, and sip on a cool glass of wine. We do not have a pool because of the elevation, however the house has been built for the views.The house is cleaned by professional cleaners every week, so very little is left to do but relax, and enjoy the ambience.

Our neighborhood
Our neighbourhood is very quiet, we have a shopping centre about 15 minutes walk, if you want to stay fit, or a $7 taxi ride, which would be easier. The shopping centre is very large, with all the department stores you need, and also a movie theatre, for the movie goers. We have very friendly neighbours who would be only too happy to give advice. It is the perfect environment for a quiet holiday, or for those people who enjoy watching the local wildlife, or attractive bird life. Cairns is a beautiful city bordering on the Great Barrier Reef, with mountains and rainforest, and our house is very close to all of that, with rainforest on our back door and views to the ocean. I am a retired aircraft engineer, my wife Sharon and I love to travel, and are open to destinations. Our children have both left home, our son works in Cairns, and our daughter works in London. This is the second time we have done a home exchange, and I feel it could be an exciting time for us both. We have done volunteeer work in Vietnam and Thailand and would love to go back there as a resident for a longer time.  = marks the location of this home
