Our home is comfortable, clean, and spacious. It is only 4 years old. It has a large kitchen with adjoining dining room and outdoor area where we have many BBQ's while watching the kids swim in the pool. Our outdoor area overlooks the mountains and is very private. We love spending time in our home and having friends over, it is warm and inviting and has everything to make your stay enjoyable. Because we spend so much time outdoors we have a back yard full of toys for the kids including a cubby house to play in, trampoline and pool to swim in. We have 4 air-conditioned bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 3 living areas. There is a surround sound entertainment system in the main living area and TV DVD and video in the 2nd living area. The master bedroom has a kingsize bed and walk in robe and the 3 remaining bedrooms have single beds with trundle beds underneath. We have fruit trees and a vegetable patch so we enjoy homegrown fruit and veggies for most of the year. We love it here!!! Our neighborhood
Our neighborhood is close to everything. We are only 3 kilometers to 2 major shopping centres and 5 kilometers to the centre of the city.We moved up here from Brisbane 5 years ago for the lifestyle. We are close to everything now without the hustle and bustle of a major city. If you want the convenience of a major city without the congestion this is the place to base yourself for a holiday. The airport has discount air carriers (Tiger Airways and Virgin Blue) and Qantas flying all over Australia with direct flights to all major east coast cities (Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, Townsville). The furthest away (Melbourne) only being 2 hours so a quick visit is easy. Flights costs range between $30 - $100 to these major centres. We are 20 minutes drive from the beach and a few hours from the outback. You can surf in the morning and be fossicking gems in the afternoon in one of the richest gem fields in Australia. If you are looking for variety this is the place. We are surrounded by National Parks, State forests and a major marine park. We are the start of the Great Barrier Reef and charters leave to go to the reef everyday. We have some of the best diving on the East coast of Australia and some of the most beautiful outback scenery around. For train buffs we are a major rail centre that all trains travel through. We are the start of the "Spirit of the Outback" which is a train that gives you a real Aussie outback experience. Something about ourselves
We (Madonna and Andrew) are trying to raise our three girls the best we can. We want them to experience as much as they can so they develop a love for travel, other cultures and people like we do. Andrew is a marriage celebrant and school teacher and runs a small home sporting business. Madonna is extremely busy as a stay at home mum with our youngest and running an internet based party supply business. We have three beautiful girls Hannah 4, Gabby 6, and Elosie 8. We have just started home exchanges and have completed one. We have also exchanged our car to some North American travellers and have met some great people. We had an amazing time so we are very keen to make it a regular event. We take a lot of pride and care in our house and will do the same for any house we exchange with.  = marks the location of this home
