Description of our house
This is our family's beach house so it is available for a swap at any time to suit you.It is an open-plan wooden house ,nestled in the trees with wide views of the ocean from every room.The master bedroom with queen bed has an ensuite and is connected by a beautiful large deck to the rest of the house. There is a second bedroom with queen bed in the loft and a fold out double couch in the lounge room.The house is funny and funky with lots of bright colours, fish and beach ornaments and we have bikes,golf clubs,beach chairs,surfboards and everything for the beach.We have wallabies,scrub turkeys,possums and lots of wildlife around the house and beautiful birds, and parrots in the trees.

Our neighborhoodCoolum Beach is close to famous Noosa on the Sunshine Coast,approximately one and a half hours drive north of Brisbane, the capital city of Queensland.Coolum has fantastic surf beaches with white sand, lots of walking/cycling tracks and beautiful headlands and coves to explore.There are plenty of great restaurants and cafes for all kinds of dining.Nearby,there are world class golf courses,scuba diving sites and excellent fishing.The towns around have great weekend markets,shopping plazas and beautiful mountain areas and nearby is Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo.The Sunshine coast is also the gateway to Fraser Island wilderness,the world's largest sand island and is home to whale watching tours. Brisbane has Australia's best modern Art Gallery,as well as museums,shops and international airport.The balmy sub-tropical climate encourages love of the great outdoors and a thriving cafe society.

Something about ourselvesWe are Kim and Lou, a professional couple in our fifties,with 3 grown children (who don't usually travel with us,unless we're going skiing!).Kim works in management at IBM and Lou is an IVF Nurse and we are friendly and outgoing,non smoking, pet loving and sports mad..We have had our beachhouse for over 12 years now and it has always been a wonderful place to sit on the deck with friends and family and unwind.We all love surfing so the beach has always been a focal part of our lives.Now that we're empty-nesters, we are keen to spend time in other countries and discover some more good skiing spots.So far,we have really enjoyed the whole exchanging experience and hope to continue making new international friends!
