Our apartment was built in 2006. It is very comfortable and spacious, with a large balcony (with barbeque) overlooking the swimming pool. The main bedroom has a kingsize bed (which can be split into 2 single beds) and en-suite (with bath). Second bedroom has a queensize bed and third bedroom is set up as a day room with desk and single bed with trundle. The apartment is tiled throughout and fitted out with everything you could possible need. Please note: the apartment is on the 3rd floor (no lift). Non-simultaneous exchange is offered and cleaning and linen washing can be organised at reasonable cost on your departure if needed.

We are in an excellent location at Yorkey's Knob. This is known as the northern beaches area of Cairns. We are about 15-20 minutes north of the airport (towards Port Douglas) and about 25 minutes from Central Cairns. The bus service is one street away. We are only a 1 block or 1 minute walk from the esplanade and beach. There are some great restaurants close by and shops/cafes/takeaways all within walking distance. Yorkey's has a 'community' feel and local people are very friendly. You can enjoy long walks on the beach and there is abundant birdlife in the area. Yorkey's is also a well-known beach for kite surfing and the local Yorkey's Marina and Boat Club are within easy walking (800m). Cairns is a wonderful destination to see Far North Queensland, the Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef. Something about ourselves

We are Yvonne and Peter and think of ourselves as "young retirees". Our home base is Adelaide, South Australia, but we love to spend as much time as possible in our Cairns apartment as we have family in Cairns. We have enjoyed wonderful exchanges in New Zealand, The Netherlands, France, Italy, Alaska and Canada. We are extremely clean and house proud, and would take great care to leave your place exactly as we found it.
