My apartment is situated in fabulous Coolum Beach (see website: http://www.coolum.com.au one of Queensland's most beautiful beaches on the Sunshine Coast. Located less than 5 minutes walking distance (0.2kms) to the shops, supermarkets, post office, banks, library pharmacies, restaurants & cafes. Local tennis courts, croquet, lawn bowls and swimming pools available in Coolum. Coolum Beach is a patrolled beach,the water is warm (19-25C) that you can swim and surf all year round. Boardwalks and bike paths (ladys bicycle available)around Coolum. Coolum is situated between Maroochydore 20 minutes drive away to the south and Noosa 20 mins to the north. Brisbane, a large city, is just 130 kms drive and the Gold Coast (Surfers Paradise) where there are many theme parks, is only 2 hours drive away. Public transport and/or budget car hire is available. Maroochydore domestic airport, where you can fly to Australia's major capital cities. Sunshine Coast has many diverse things to do for all ages. Visit Australia Zoo (made famous by the late crocodile hunter, Steve Irwin), Glasshouse Mountains, whale watching from Sunshine Coast or Hervey Bay, visit World Heritage listed Fraser Island and National Park. There are many other activities, wineries, hiking, world class golf courses, galleries, the famous Eumundi Markets, fishing, diving, swimming, and surfing.
