The estate is set in beautiful gardens, has a 1.6 km riverside walk and is adjacent to a large area of parklands. It is not a gated community but it is very private area with excellent security. The community is very close and we organise frequent social activities. Local restaurants, a supermarket, doctor, health services and a pub are a short walk from the apartment. The nearby suburb has a strong Italian flavour with excellent restaurants, coffee shops and supermarkets. Our previous houseswappers have loved the ease of access to the city. We are a pleasant 5 minute walk to the ferry wharf and then 30 minutes by rivercat to the city. Regular local buses also go to the city and nearby suburbs. Our immediate neighbours are wonderful and our daughter and family live 5 minutes away and are able to assist in any way.
Something about ourselves
We are retired school principals and enjoy travel. We have had many exchanges, all of which have been very successful. Because two of our adult children and grandchildren live permanently in UK (London and Edinburgh) we visit every year and we are always interested in exchanges anywhere in Europe or UK. We usually visit between May and August, but we have sometimes been able to arrange non-simultaneous exchanges.
