Our home is large, bright and light, with it's passive solar design the sun shines in every day, all day. We have all the modern conveniences and a separate fully self contained flat for additional guests. Great views to downtown and over our low maintenance, native garden, where there is also a barbeque area and children's play space. Some of Australia's unique animals like kangaroos and wombats roam freely along with the occasional echidna. Bird life is abundant, beautifully coloured parrots and rosella's live in our many native trees.

We are just over an hour to several destinations including Australia's capital city Canberra, beautiful beaches on the Sapphire Coast and snow skiing in the Snowy Mountains, trout fishing, water sports, hiking and walking. This area which is called Monaro, is widely known for it's sheep and cattle, see sheep shearing, experience a cattle sale and then check out the Snowy Hydro which has a brilliant, modern visitors centre explaining so well one of the several engineering wonders of the world, the Snowy Mountains Scheme. Cooma is a town with a multi-cultural flavour and has a population of just over 10,000. Our home is situated 830 metres above sea level and just 1.6kms from the centre of town. . We are just new to retirement, very family orientated with 4 grown children and 4 grandchildren. We have travelled all our lives and now find that home exchanges are the only way to really experience the true destination. We are experienced exchangers and have made life long friends with not only our exchangers but also with their families and neighbours. We do prefer destinations off the main tourist trail but also love to feel the hectic pace of life in major cities. We will go anywhere and would love to go everywhere.
