Our holiday home, within walking distance of Avoca Beach, is situated in a bush setting with ocean glimpses. Wake up to the sound of the waves and the birds. The home is comfortable, clean, and spacious. It has two bedrooms (1 with QS bed, 1 with double bed) 2 bathrooms, a modern kitchen included in a large living/dining room, and a study. The deck is where kookaburras and parrots visit every day. It is somewhere to enjoy the tree tops and breathe in the clean, salty air. The exchange residence is the main upstairs area. There is a separately-let self-contained downstairs unit. It is a short walk to the beach, restaurants, cinema etc.

Avoca Beach is a popular beachside village in one of several pretty bays in the NSW Central Coast area just north of Sydney. It is close enough to Sydney for day trips, but far enough away from the pace of the big city to feel like you are in a rural region. While it is best to have a car to explore the valleys, country villages, rivers, hills and many, many other clean, uncrowded, beaches nearby, the Central Coast region has good public transport connections to Sydney (many people travel down and back to work every day). We are a married couple and whilst retired are still very active. Travelling is our favourite past-time and we have had some 30 successful home exchanges. We particularly like the home-exchange format of living in the location as a local rather than as a tourist. Our ideal home exchange is a quaint cottage in a small village, a small apartment in the heart of an interesting city, or a home with a lovely local, rural or water view. We take particular care in looking after the residences we stay in, and hope to attract people of a like mind.
