Our 5th floor penthouse was newly built in 2010. It is large, light and airy and has a lovely outlook with district and water views. It is right in the middle of everything that Sydney's lower North shore has to offer yet is only a few kilometres from the centre of Sydney (only one set of traffic lights and a 10 minute bus ride).
As you would expect from a new apartment it has all the modern conveniences; video security, central heating, reverse cycle airconditioning, built in Miele coffee machine, wine fridge, cable TV, concierge (6 days a week). High speed ADSL wireless internet throughout.
There are 3 bedrooms although the third is currently used as a study, with double sofa bed. The master bedroom ensuite has full bath, shower and his and hers sinks. Bedding configuration at the moment is 1 king, 1 queen and a double sofa bed in the study. We have a large open plan kitchen, living and dining area and a separate reading/breakfast room.
Our private rooftop garden/living area is set up for entertaining with dining table for 8 - 10, sofas and BBQ/bar fridge to keep your drinks cold. You can have a cocktail or watch the New Years Eve fireworks on the rooftop. Our 5th floor penthouse was newly built in 2010. Neutral Bay is an upmarket suburb on the north side of Sydney. It is about 3 kilometers to the Harbour Bridge (we do sometimes walk into the city across the bridge) and is centrally located for public transport to the CBD (about 10 minutes by bus) and the beach (Manly is about 20 minutes by bus, Balmoral, a harbour beach with wonderful walking/jogging and restaurants is about a 5 minute drive). Within a couple of minutes walk from our apartment there are supermarkets, specialty shops, post office, many cafes and more restaurants than I can count. Just in our building alone some of our favourites are:

http://www.enopizzeria.com.au
http://www.ponydining.com.au
and a fabulous bakery:

We are a stone's throw from one of Sydney's famous Pub's (The Oaks of Neutral Bay). A cinema complex is about a 10 minute walk. Neutral Bay is an upmarket suburb on the north side of Sydney. We are a professional couple (university lecturer in law and proprietor of an IT company) with 2 adult children aged 24 and 19; our daughter is currently living and working in central London and our son will travel with us sometimes. Over Christmas 2012 we are looking to exchange to London and maybe Europe. Because our daughter lives in London we are only interested in London for UK exchanges at the moment. We are also interested in France for summer 2013 but apart from that are open to suggestions We are a professional couple (university lecturer in law and proprietor of an IT company) with 2 adult children aged 24 and 19; our daughter is currently living and working in central London and our son will travel with us sometimes.
