Our home is clean, comfortable and cozy. The kitchen has recently been renovated and is efficient and bright with a view out to our lovely back garden. There are also veggie patches in the back yard with many herbs to add to your meals! A large, covered patio at the back of the house offers a great place to relax with a lounging chair as well as an eating area and large gas barbecue. The two bedrooms (one with queen bed and one with a double bed)have built-in closets and fans. The lounge room has a very comfortable sofa and chairs as well as a stereo CD player. There is a separate "TV room" with a gas heater for those cooler winter evenings, a flat-screen TV and a DVD player.

We are only a 5 minute walk from a beautiful surfing beach and a short drive to other scenic beaches! The many trees around our home gives us privacy even though we are in the middle of a diverse housing estate. We are a short drive away from the coastal towns of Ballina, Lennox Head and Byron Bay. If swimming/surfing is not of interest to you, there are walking/bike riding trails, museums and art galleries, lawn bowling clubs, and golf courses to enjoy. Something about ourselves

We are John and Laura and are both in our 60's. John grew up in Australia but went to Canada to teach - and that's how he met Laura! After raising our 2 children in Canada, we retired at an early age and went off in our sailboat for 10 years. When we both felt it was time to become landlubbers again, we chose to settle in Australia and the wonderful part is our 2 children are living in this beautiful country as well! We have always enjoyed traveling and would now like to try some "house exchanges" as a way of being able to get to know more about the areas we visit. We are particularly interested in seeing more of Australia at present.
