We have two homes:
Home 1:
a light and airy 2 bedroom (1 double & 1 single + trundle bed), 2 bathroom apartment on Sydney Harbour front, a stone's throw away from ferries and buses into the city and beyond. The flat has a front seat to the fireworks on New Year's Eve. No pets, please.
Home 2:
a renovated, comfortable 3 bedroom, (2 queens & 1 double bed) 2 bathroom house 10 minutes away from the flat. Well located to shops, cafes, Dawn Fraser swimming pool, parks, markets and transport. The house also has a studio, separate study and piano. Unlimited calls to mobile or landline within Australia. Our Ford station wagon may be used. There are two cats living here that you are unlikely to meet and who require feeding generally once a day (but food can be left for them for several days if you wish). A well behaved cat or small dog is acceptable as the house has a door that can be closed to divide the living areas and keep animals separate.
Balmain is a vibrant inner city suburb with good shopping and restaurants. Public transport is close by - ferry and bus - so most Sydney attractions are only minutes away. We have two homes:

The centre of Sydney is 15 minutes away by either bus or ferry. Sydney is a lovely city and has much to offer with concerts, art galleries, shops and the beautiful botanical gardens. Our family consists of two grandparents(retired medical professionals), two parents (both working artists) and two children - girl aged 16 and boy aged 9.
We have exchanged our unit once - 15 years ago - with a couple from Canada and found it a great experience.
We have travelled many times to France and U.K. We would like to exchange for 3-4 weeks in Dec.(20th) to January and would prefer either Paris or New York. The idea of having a "white" Christmas is very exciting for Australians who spend Christmas in summer.
