We are 30 minutes gentle stroll into the heart of Sydney. Just 5 minutes to the fine dining restaurants on Woolloomooloo wharf, 5 minutes to the vibrant village atmosphere of Potts Point (cafes/shops/supermarkets/cheap eats/deli/gym/markets), 5 minutes to the nightclubs & bars of Kings Cross (and trains/buses to the city, beaches etc)... We are very, very, central! If you choose to rent a car for some or all of your stay - the car rental agencies are just a 5 minute walk from home. We get partial views of New Year fireworks from the balcony... but great, free, vantage points are within easy walking distance. Great waterfront jogging/walking throughout the botanic gardens... 50 minute gentle stroll to the Opera House, Harbour Bridge (http://www.bridgeclimb.com & Circular Quay (for access to harbour ferries - including to Taronga Zoo for koala viewing! (http://www.taronga.org.au It's possible to access everything Sydney has to offer from this location - jump on a bus to Bondi Beach and have a go at surfing - Horseriding, rollerblading, cycle hire are all available in Centennial Park - maybe a $10 cab ride away (http://www.centennialparklands.com.au Pretty much everything that you can't (or don't want to walk to) - is within a $10-15 cab ride. Wouldn't recommend our place if stairs are an issue. Boy Charlton outdoor swimming pool is a 10 minute stroll & they also hold yoga classes there - it's in Woolloomooloo Bay (http://www.abcpool.org Something about ourselves

We're in our late 30s (getting later all the time. Will be lying about it soon...) - New Zealand born Administrator (Vivienne) and Australian Navy chef (James). We plan on renting the house out and travelling the world starting July 2012 - but can't wait that long... Have travelled in Asia over the last few years. We have an adorable indoor cat (Tasha) who sleeps 23 hours a day and will give you a nudge if she needs love and a head scratch - except when photos are being taken... that's why she appears in so many - we would very much like to exchange with cat/animal lovers around the world - so she isn't reliant on the daily visit from the cat sitter. If it's a deal breaker, she can go to a cattery - but heaven help us when we get back. We just completed a one month exchange with a great couple in Tahiti (who don't have a pet) and they said she was no problem at all. We will provide the details of her cat sitter if you have any worries at all! ![]()
