It is 25 minutes to the Pacific Ocean, with beautiful beaches such as Newport, Avalon, Whale Beach, Palm Beach, where you can swim, fish, hire boats, scuba dive, also many wonderful restaurants on or near the water. There are several good public golf courses nearby and acess to National Parks.
