Description of our house

We have a farmhouse, stone house & cottage with 360 degree views located on a family dairy farm in Jamberoo. Our home is at the end of a private unsealed road, 1.8 kilometres off the main road, so privacy is guaranteed. We live in a farm yard with a number of buildings. Our kitchen and living area are open plan and spill out onto the verandah, deck, jacuzzi, paved area, huge fig tree and garden. The lounge room has a combustion fireplace, leather lounge, recliners & Full HD TV. The main bedroom has a queen bed and bedroom 2 and 3 have singles. A pullout trundle single bed is also in bedroom 3. The bathroom is roomy with views to the Pacific Ocean and tourist town of Kiama. The stone house has table tennis, music/band equipment, Full HDTV with blu ray surround sound, xbox & wii. It also has a deck with outdoor kitchen & views to the ocean. Optional extra - The cottage has a double bedroom with ensuite & living area. The double garage has a basketball hoop and concrete area in front of it. The 20 000 gallon water tank supplies all our household needs. We have chickens, a dog & two cats. You can choose to take care of these or my parents or brother'€™s family who also live on the property, a kilometre away, can assist in any way, if required.

We live in complete privacy in tune with nature yet have everything at our finger tips starting with the state's largest theme park, Jamberoo Action Park just 3 kilometres away. The beautiful Jamberoo Valley is half an hour'€™s drive from Wollongong and one and a half hour'€™s drive from the city centre of Sydney. Jamberoo village has an historic pub, general store, golf, tennis & bowling clubs. The entire Kiama area offers a wealth of breath taking scenery from unspoilt beaches to natural rainforest and the magnificent peaks of the Jamberoo Mountain escarpment. Our region is called the ILLAWARRA and it offers festivals and events to provide enjoyment and entertainment for all the family. The Illawarra is bursting with colour & energy. Enjoy a relaxing day on our farm, go to the beach, go fishing, shop, visit a winery, an art gallery, museum or The Nan Tien Temple, the largest Buddhist Temple in the southern hemisphere, or spend time at one of the local sport or recreational clubs, the choice is yours. We are teachers in our 50's & we have two responsible teenage boys. As a family we enjoy music, literature, history, sport, photography, wining, dining & socialising with family & friends. We are 20 minutes drive from the beach so summer is filled with water activities, picnics and alfresco dining. We enjoy good food and wine which are all found locally. Jamming in the stone house is a favourite pastime. We love to travel, but not from one hotel to another, so we are appreciative of the opportunity of staying in a 'home'. We show respect & have completed six wonderful swaps & look forward to many more.
