Description of our house

Our home is a 90 year old two storey timber house with four double bedrooms, three with double beds, and one with a queen bed. There are also two double sofa beds. There are two bathrooms and two toilets. There is a spacious well appointed kitchen, a large dining room and lounge, a generous sun deck, and a separate family entertainment room opening onto a private, covered entertainment area with BBQ and banquet table. The adjacent tropical garden features a magnificent mango tree. At the front of the house the porch looks out onto the quiet tree lined avenue. It is a short three minute stroll into the village to shops and restaurants and tennis courts, a five minute walk to the swimming pool, and a short five minute drive to the golf course. It is a very pleasant course. You can play golf every day of the week and bookings are rarely required.

We live in a beautiful area of the world in a small eclectic village called Mullumbimby, nestled in the picturesque hinterland hills of Byron Bay in Northern New South Wales, Australia. This lovely town has a population of 3000 and boasts a public 18 hole golf course, public tennis courts and an olympic swimming pool. There are a multitude of beaches, streams, and nearby hillside villages to explore. It really is a paradise. We are 8 minutes by car from the beautiful seaside fishing village of Brunswick Heads, 20 minutes to fantastic Byron Bay, and 40 minutes to the Queensland Gold Coast. Our area is a haven for surfers, beach lovers, fishing enthusiasts, bike riders, walkers, snorkellers, divers, paragliders, skydivers, music and alternative culture lovers. We are Kerry 62, a web software developer, passionate about surfing, golf, and skiing, and Merryn 53, who works as a Team Leader for a day service program for people with disabilities and loves swimming, bike riding, walking and singing in the community choir. We are a warm, caring and community-minded couple. We did two wonderful home and car exchanges in Feb and March 2009,and another exchange in France in August, 2010 and now would like to visit regional Turkey,Italy or Spain in June, July, Aug, Sept 2012. We are flexible in our dates. We would like a three-four week exchange and desire a car exchange.
