Our home is in the leafy neighbourhood of Cheltenham 20kms (12 miles) north west of the centre of Sydney; the city being easily accessed from the train station only two minutes walk from our house. The ground floor is the main living area with three bedrooms (one converted to a study) plus bathroom, kitchen and living area, whilst under the house is a two room retreat where a teenager or a second couple could sleep.

Cheltenham is located between Beecroft and Epping and our home is wedged in an exclusive stretch of homes between the train line and Lane Cove National Park. Many of our neighbours have swimming pools or tennis courts and it is an extremely friendly and safe area. Whilst the noisiest thing you are likely to hear from our house are the kookaburras, Beecroft has a number of trendy cafes, good restaurants and a supermarket- it is a 20 minute walk, one stop on the train, or a short drive. Epping which is a 6-8 minute drive in the other direction has more shops and a number of Asian restaurants. And if you love bushwalking, the National Park is almost over the back fence - one could easily spend days just exploring the walking tracks and creeks and watching the abundant birdlife and more. We are a married couple in our late 30's / early 40's. I work with banking and payments technology, whilst my wife looks after our only child (a daughter born in May 2007). We don't have any pets ourselves, but would be open to discuss looking after yours.
