Description of our house

Our home and guest house is located in Paradise, California. It is on five acres on the canyon, often called the little grand canyon, the guest house sets on the canyon overlooking the pool and the lights of Chico. It has a large deck. The guest house is the size of a three car garage, and contains, a small kitchen, two bedromms with coach, each bedroom has its own full bath. It is possible to include part of the main house, which is one and a half story, with library and den, The main house has five bathrooms. This is one of the nicest homes in Paradise with excellent views and a large pool with diving board. Lots of privacy and garden setting.

Paradise is at 1,200-2,000 feet elevation and has a population of about 35,000. It is located on the Western Slope of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. It is about 110 miles north of Sacramento and 18 miles East of Chico. There is great boating on Lake Oroville, with 160 miles of shoreline, hiking and 1.5 hours to Mt. Lassen,a hour drive to Quincy along the Feather River Canyon. Chico offers the ammenities of a small Univeristy town. Paradise was a site of gold discovery and has grown from its early origin. Walter is a retired Professor of Social Work at California State University, Chico. Maile is a homemaker. Walter is active in Europe in teaching and training others in Psychotherapy. He has spend the last 15 summers in Czech and Slovakia developing Satir Institutes. We do not drink or smoke. Walter enjoys travel, swimming, snorkling, diving, skiing,(water & alpine). We have two adult children and five grandchildren. ![]()
